ClinBox is an information workspace and AI assistant for long‑term conditions. It helps you organize medical information and generate doctor‑ready Visit Briefs. ClinBox does not provide diagnosis or medical advice.
- You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure.
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Notify us of unauthorized use promptly.
You retain ownership of the content you upload. You grant ClinBox a limited license to process that content solely to provide the service (e.g., context‑aware chat, Visit Brief, Timeline, Key Dates). Do not upload content that infringes others' rights or violates law.
ClinBox is designed for de‑identified medical text. Do not upload personally identifiable information (PII/PHI). If you upload identity‑bearing files, you are solely responsible for the consequences and compliance obligations.
- Illegal activity or harm to others
- Attempting to attack, probe or disrupt the service
- Circumventing access controls or rate limits
- Automated scraping without consent
Paid plans may be charged on a subscription basis. Unless required by law, fees are non‑refundable. If you believe a refund is warranted, contact info@clinbox.org and we will review on a case‑by‑case basis.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable.
IMPORTANT: ClinBox is an information organization tool, NOT a medical service.
ClinBox does NOT and will NOT:
- Provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
- Replace consultations with qualified healthcare professionals
- Interpret lab results or imaging studies for medical decision-making
- Recommend medications, dosages, or treatment plans
- Make clinical decisions on your behalf
AI-Generated Content Disclaimer:
- All AI-generated responses (chats, Visit Briefs, etc.) are for informational and organizational purposes only
- AI may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading information
- Always verify AI outputs with qualified healthcare professionals
- Never rely solely on ClinBox for medical decisions
Emergency Situations:
- ClinBox is NOT for emergencies
- If you have a medical emergency, call emergency services immediately
- Do not use ClinBox to seek urgent medical advice
ClinBox is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation
- Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of content
We do not warrant that:
- ClinBox will meet your specific requirements
- All defects will be corrected
- The service is free from viruses or harmful components
YOU are solely responsible for:
- All medical decisions you make
- Consulting qualified healthcare professionals
- Verifying the accuracy of information in ClinBox
- Ensuring compliance with applicable healthcare regulations
- De-identifying your uploaded content
ClinBox is a supplemental tool only. Your healthcare providers remain your primary source of medical guidance.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ClinBox's total liability to you for all claims arising from your use of the service is limited to the greater of:
- $20 USD, or
- The amount you paid to ClinBox in the 12 months prior to the claim
ClinBox and its contributors are NOT liable for:
Indirect or Consequential Damages:
- Loss of profits, revenue, or business opportunities
- Loss of data or content
- Loss of goodwill or reputation
- Cost of substitute services
- Personal injury or emotional distress
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages
Medical-Related Claims:
- Health outcomes from relying on ClinBox content (we do not provide medical advice)
- Decisions based on AI-generated information
- Failure to seek or delay in seeking medical care
Data and Security:
- Unauthorized access to your account or data due to your failure to secure credentials
- Data processed by third-party AI providers
- Your upload of PII/PHI in violation of our policies
- Regulatory penalties you incur for uploading non-de-identified data
Service Availability:
- Service downtime, interruptions, or discontinuation
- Loss of access to your data due to account suspension or termination
- Bugs, errors, or AI inaccuracies
We are not liable for actions or failures of:
- AI model providers (OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, etc.)
- Cloud hosting providers
- Payment processors
- Any other third-party services
Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability for incidental or consequential damages. In such cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ClinBox and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, and suppliers from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or relating to:
- Any content you upload, submit, or transmit through ClinBox
- Your upload of personally identifiable information (PII) or protected health information (PHI) in violation of our policies
- Your violation of these Terms of Service or Privacy Policy
- Your violation of any law or regulation
- Your violation of any rights of another person or entity
- Your failure to comply with HIPAA, GDPR, or other applicable healthcare regulations
- Regulatory fines or penalties you incur from using ClinBox
- Claims by patients or other parties if you are a healthcare provider
- Any medical decisions you make based on ClinBox content
- Harm arising from relying on ClinBox instead of professional medical advice
- Delay in seeking medical care due to use of ClinBox
- Unauthorized access to your account due to your failure to secure credentials
- Your sharing of account access with unauthorized persons
This indemnification obligation survives termination of your account or these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to our principal place of business, without regard to conflict‑of‑law rules.
Any litigation must be brought exclusively in the courts of competent jurisdiction where our principal place of business is located.
Any claim must be filed within one (1) year after the claim arises, or it is permanently barred.
We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
